The Galaxy Note 8 Fixes The S8’s Shiny Flaw

Galaxy Note 8 Launch DatesIce universe, which previously nailed the Galaxy S8 design in February, has issued an update on the famous phablet. Tweeting new renders which it describes as “Galaxy Note8 v2.0”, it claims Samsung has altered the smartphone’s display to make the bezels even narrower. The result is an alteration to the Infinity Display design seen in both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus with their soft curved corners made notably sharper and edgier. If true (and Ice universe will point to its track record) then it would mean claimed press renders from SlashLeaks were made before the change.

…“The end of August” ties in nicely with the suggestions of a Samsung event on the 23rd of August in New York. That’s later than last year’s launch of the Note 7 (widely seen as Samsung going early) and gives the South Korean company a clear window of time before the expected launch of the new iPhones in, you guessed it, early September.Samsung Mobile’s DJ Koh, speaking at a meet and greet with local journalists in Taiwan has confirmed that the Note 8 will launch in late August and go on sale in two waves, starting in September.
